#HOW TO DATE BK BUTLER TUBE DRIVER DRIVER#
I would so like to re-try a Tube Driver again 14 years later as my tastes have changed but at $299 I doubt I ever will. Butler reissue of the 911 Tube Driver from 2006. So with one phone call and a rediculous shipping charge and even more rediculous restocking fee (I think about 30%) away it went and in it's place came a BBE guitar preamp (not a bad preamp mind you for $99 back in the day). Shown above (left to right) - The 1985 BK Butler Tube Driver, the revised 1986-87 BK Butler Tube Driver, the unauthorized 1988 knockoff made by Chandler after Butler parted ways with them, the 1990s Tube Works 911 Tube Driver, and a B.K. Well, as you know from a metal head's prospective (I was 19) the Tube Driver as a sole distortion device just didn't have enough gain to satisfy me. Back then I was playing mostly heavy metal and hard rock and I had a cheap Arion Distortion pedal that shot craps so for some reason I gave the Tube Driver a spin, I think mostly because Satch had been reported to be using one. I think I got mine for $79 on sale from American Musical Supply back in late '92. BK Butler's original hand made Tube Driver guitar pedal used by Eric Johnson, David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons. If I'd of known I would have hung on to it. BK Butler's original hand made Tube Driver guitar pedal used by Eric Johnson, David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons, Joe Satriani, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robbie Krieger, and many other pros. Today we look at what's inside this Tube Driver. Wow!!! The BK Butler Tube Driver is the only pedal I have ever in my 20+ years of playing have ever sent back. Forgive me as I am new here, but I saw the link to the BK Butler Tube Driver and thought "hey, cool they're back"! Then I saw the price.
